NewGen Dracula

During my school days, once I had watched a horror movie called Dracula, in our VCP.

The storyline goes into something like this, if I correctly recall: when Dracula penetrates its otherwise hidden long teeth into the neck of its victim and sucks hot blood, he/she becomes another Dracula.  Dracula feared of Holy Cross only.  So it simply disguise as the target’s Father, Mother, Brother, Sister or other near and dear to get into the target's room and convince them remove the holy cross and when the holy cross is removed, they will become the victim.   The Dracula never ever gatecrash into its intended victim's premises uninvited!

I feared a lot that night, even I felt that my Amma lying beside me could be a disguised Dracula! Then Amma calmed me down, and told me not to worry, it is all imaginary stories.  And she asked me to chant the Manthra “Arjuna Phalguno Jishnu Kireedi Shwetavaahana Bibhatsur Vijaya Partha Savyasaachi Dhananjaya”.    She helped me to literally throw out the fear inside me.   Trusting her I slept keeping my head on her laps and her hands on my head was like a Holy Cross to me.

Years passed, today Amma is no more.  But Dracula has returned, we call it Corona or COVID19.   To save ourself from this Dracula, we have sanitizers, masks and processes like washing hands regularly and stay in isolation.  Let us fight this newgen evil together and eradicate it completely from the earth.
